Katharina Sauter Information

I am a multidisciplinary designer based in Zurich, and I have recently graduated from the University of the Arts Berlin. While my primary focus is in product design, I am also a crafts practitioner who engages in cultural research. I work across disciplines, entering other areas such as film making, graphic design, textile design, and scenography.

I enjoy working with diverse mediums, seamlessly transitioning between the analog world with tangible materials and the digital realm. My approach to design is characterized by the intersection of analog and digital, high-tech and low-tech methodologies.

In my practice I aim to revive and celebrate craft based technologies bridging the gap between traditional techniques and contemporary design. I aim to preserve and evolve our cultural assets while contributing to the ongoing dialogue between craft and technology.
